For School Administrators, Teachers & Counselors
Issues that students bring to school with them prohibit the achievement of goals - both academic and extra curricular. Additionally, recent high-profile incidents of school violence have heightened our nation's attention.

At Bethesda, we understand the issues at home that preclude actions such as bullying, violent outbursts, and other antisocial behaviors. We can help improve the learning atmosphere in schools - from elementary to post secondary.

A research study conducted by Dr. Kathleen Watts concluded that the Bethesda Relational Healing Model and Peer Governance Program "effectively improved student/student, student/staff, and child/parent relationships and improved student behavior and the overall school behavioral climate."

Quantitatively, the data showed a 45% reduction in average detentions per student for the 2 1/2 years following the introduction of the Bethesda program as compared to the average for the year of introduction (2004-2005)
and the year prior (2003-2004).
